Euraxess mobility center
Arriving at ULiège? Planning a research stay abroad? Belonging to a network of 500 international Euraxess Centres located in 40 countries and to the Belgian network of Euraxess Centres, the Euraxess Centre of the University of Liège provides free service for mobility researchers to help them plan and organise their stay abroad and develop their careers.

The Belgian Immigration Office points out that a third-country national who is prevented from leaving Belgium for reasons of force majeure (quarantine, flight cancellation, border closure, etc.) may request authorisation to extend his/her stay. Please visit the official webpage of the Office des étrangers for instructions about the administrative procedures.

Since 2006, the ULiège has been involved in the pan-European Euraxess - Researchers in motion initiative, which provides free service for mobility researchers to help them plan and organise their stay abroad and develop their careers. The Euraxess Center supports both researchers arriving at ULiège (IN mobility), researchers from Liège who wish to temporarily carry out their research abroad (OUT mobility), as well as academic and scientific staff members wishing to host a foreign researcher.

Research stay for visiting researchers
This status is intended for visiting researchers, post-docs or young graduates wishing to stay in our institution.
It is usually granted for foreign researchers at the request of a ULiège reference.
A Vademecum was designed to clarify and formalize the procedures for hosting professors, researchers or foreign students in practical trainings, specialization internships or for a research stay at the University of Liège.
