They will understand the ins and outs of Open Access, its advantages and how it works, as well as some useful tools for applying the concepts presented. Description This course covers the following topics: o Presentation of the ULiège mandate, the Open Science decree of the WalloniaBrussels Federation and the amendment to Belgian copyright relating to Open Access o Presentation of Open Access and related concepts: definition, origin of the movement, green and golden paths, advantages, etc. o Publication cycle: difference between traditional and Open Access publishing methods o Economic, philosophical and technical reasons for Open Access o Advantages and benefits of Open Access
