WELBIO is an inter-university research institute based in Wallonia whose mission is to support fundamental research of excellence in life sciences and to promote the exploitation of scientific results in medical, pharmaceutical and veterinary biotechnological applications. WELBIO wishes to strengthen research excellence in Wallonia and international recognition.
W
ELBIO is subsidized by Wallonia. Its mission is to support strategic fundamental research through rigorously selected projects from the universities of the Walloon-Brussels Federation, with a view to promote discoveries towards industrial applications in all fields of biotechnology. Several researchers at the University of Liège benefit from WELBIO's support in the development of their research.
