Subsidies for short-term doctoral training abroad and in Flanders

You can have, under certain conditions, a subsidy for a short stay abroad and in Flanders as part of your doctorate.

Eligibility

All doctoral students enrolled at ULiège having to follow a training module abroad falling within their doctoral training programme and giving rise to credit validation.

This subsidy is thus intended for a training programme (and not a research stay, a seminar or a presentation), which is international (not provided in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation), disciplinary, and necessary to the course (the doctoral college attests to the usefulness of the training). The typical case is the summer university.

Duration

1 week max.

Terms

Continuous submission treated quarterly (15/09-15/12-15/03/-15/06). It is therefore strongly recommended to send in the request several months before the scheduled training date.

Restrictions

Only one subsidy per person.

Subsidy

The set of costs related to a training programme cannot exceed €2,000 and will cover:

  • Programme registration fees;
  • Travel expenses (1 round trip) and costs of stay. These expenses will be reimbursed upon presentation of an expense memo of up to €100 per training day.
