he University Research Council is legally constituted (A.R. 16/06/1978) as advisory body of the Board of Directors on the policy research of the Institution. It participates in the organisation of the assessment of the research activity and oversees the General administration of the research capacity of the institution.

In 2015, its mission was expanded to meet the new academic organisation of the University, and in particular to integrate the valorisation of research. The Council thus became the University Council for Research and Valorisation (CURV).
