Spin-offs

The promotion of research results through the creation of spin-off companies reflects the desire of the University of Liège to create added value and to be fully involved in regional economic development through its research activities.

I

n addition to supporting the creation of spin-off companies, Gesval actively participates in the further development of the spin-off companies of ULiège either as part of its shareholding, or by its participation on the board of directors. It contributes directly to the definition of new strategies or to the identification of new means.

On average, there are 5 spin-off companies that come out of ULiège's research laboratories every year, in all sectors.
