The aim? To equip young researchers to complete their doctoral thesis and prepare them for their future career, in or outside the academic world, through in-depth scientific training (theoretical, technological, methodological).

A thematic offering designed by experts

PhD students have access to targeted activities (courses, training, seminars) in 10 research themes:

  • Physical activity and rehabilitation
  • Biomaterials
  • Cancer
  • Drug development
  • Genetics and genomics
  • Immunology and microbiology
  • Neuroscience
  • Clinical research
  • Health, environment and society
  • Bioinformatics (interdisciplinary theme)

Each program is designed by researchers and thesis promoters active in these fields.

Doctoral students are free to choose their activities according to their thesis topic and career aspirations.

A range of cross-disciplinary training courses (communication of results, data management, documentary research, bibliographic management, introduction to entrepreneurship, etc.) completes the thematic training offer. These cross-disciplinary courses are an opportunity to acquire skills useful in all areas of research, and to network with doctoral students from all ULiège faculties.

An open, interdisciplinary and collaborative doctoral school

Supported by the Conseil Sectoriel de la Recherche et de la Valorisation en Sciences de la Santé (CRSV-SS), the Doctoral school in Health Sciences is an inter-faculty, interdisciplinary and international initiative, open to all ULiège doctoral students and researchers interested in the health sciences.
