Overall, the CUPPD certificate helped me a lot in my academic career. To start, my successful performance in the CUPPD training allowed me to switch my CUPPD registration to a thesis registration. I think that the training played in my favour when the doctoral college reviewed my application (along with, of course, the support from my promoter). This was a huge step! Then the thesis project proposal developed during the training was used to apply for several grants. I did not systematically obtain all of them, but I was able to sue this project proposal and all the advice I gained from the training to improve my work and apply again. Additionally, the promoter’s unwavering support and guidance has been a significant motivating factor for me.
