Koufanou HIEN
PPPC Candidate - autumn 2023
Koufanou HIEN |
My name is Koufanou HIEN. Originally from Burkina Faso, I took part in the Autumn 2023 session
- Before starting the course, I was quite apprehensive and worried about my ability to complete it and succeed with a structured, validated and accepted project. What's more, I have to admit that I didn't know enough about the doctorate, either in terms of its requirements or the organization needed to carry out a real research project at this level.
- However, when I took part in the PPPC course, I came away with a wealth of information and knowledge. Firstly, thanks to the PPPC, I learned to better understand how to plan, organize and structure one's doctoral project in order to make a success of one's doctoral career, which, it must be admitted, is not a long quiet river. I also learned the rudiments of bibliographic research, using databases to refine my research themes and better define my problematic. In addition, the various cross-disciplinary training courses were a great help to me. Last but not least, the sharing of experiences by former program beneficiaries, as well as the collaboration between fellow members of the Autumn 2023 class, were very enriching and motivating for me during the PPPC.
- The PPPC was a wonderful human and academic adventure for me that I'll treasure forever. All the knowledge and information I've gained has enabled me to be better prepared and equipped to tackle the next stage of my adventure with serenity.
- Speaking of what's to come, I'd like to point out that I've been able to work again on my project, which I defended during the course, reframing it in line with my new orientations and future professional ambitions. As such, I intend to register for my doctoral thesis in the coming academic year 2024-2025.
I can't end this testimonial without thanking the organizers of this training course for all the facilities, attentiveness, availability and support during this period. I look forward to its continuation, to the great delight of those aspiring to a doctorate.
