11 February: International Day of Women and Girls in Science

In Institution Research

They are doctors, biologists, oceanologists, architects, psychologists, jurists, virologists and chemists. They've all chosen to follow their passion and become women of science. Between February 11 (International Day of Women and Girls in Science) and March 8 (International Women's Day), the University of Liège (re)honors those (among many others!) who are shaking things up.

he United Nations General Assembly proclaimed February 11 "International Day of Women and Girls in Science" to achieve equitable access and participation of women and girls in science, gender equality, and the empowerment of women and girls. On this occasion, the University of Liège (re)highlights some of the hundreds of women scientists in our institution.
