The CUPPD program is essential for any new researcher aiming to embark on the journey of advanced doctoral studies.
The transversal trainings, cover several topics designed to prepare young researchers for facing academic research.
The integration in the host lab allowed for me to experience first hand the work and interpersonal collaborations that I would like to continue as part of my doctoral work.
I felt at home in the environment of the Physiology of Cognition lab where I chose to work, I learned a lot about conducting high quality research, running experiments, academic writing, presenting and more.
My future supervisor and the organizing members of the RISE service made everything work excellently without creating unneeded pressure, the timeframe was very well thought-out and realistic.
Through the guidance of my supervisor and that provided through the trainings I was able to form a doctoral project proposal which I am proud of and cannot wait to begin working on this upcoming fall.
I will always be greatefull to the University of Liege and the RISE service for this excellent opportunity and would recommend the program to any upcoming researcher thinking of starting his/her PhD journey.
